9P Pretties from EQ5 11, 12 from Virtual Quilter

All the designs in this project file look very washed out, which is what you would expect of real quilts as old as these designs!

The second one must have been bleached at some time. I think I was experimenting to see just how little contrast is needed to make the block designs interesting … at the time I was learning to draw pieced blocks by adding all the block designs I had scribbled on piles of paper to my EQ library.

Block Playtime 1c, 1d, 1e from Virtual Quilter

Here are the after coffee results of yesterday’s play time … the first one for today has some corner details added to the second version from yesterday.

In todays second version the corner detail and part of the side detail has disappeared.

In the final design the corner detail has appeared again, and I rather like the results!

Broken Wheel from Zarkadia Quilts

I don’t know about you, but this block has made my day. Back when I was a rookie quilter, I thought that this was a really complex quilt block, but the Broken Wheel quilt block is a piece of cake!

Union Square from Zarkadia Quilts

Making this block was so fun, that I decided to make a new quilt with this block, honoring the history behind it. The perfect geometry and harmony behind it is really fascinating for me.

There are many alternative block named after the same quilt block name, but here I am making the original one.

Quilty Road Trip ... Social Distance Style from Life in the Scrapatch




This morning started Here,

because this is, literally, one of the first things I see in the morning,
after I use my eye drops to unglue my eyes, 
as it is on my bedroom wall opposite my bed. 

I do not actually "see" the eye drops.
I just reach out to where I know they are, aim and squeeze,
then wait a few minutes for them to take effect.

Usually, there is a blur of my hubby's face
and a fuzzy looking cat or three in view, too.
Only Katniss is actually fuzzy so I know if the other ...
